Soft Touch Arts Director Crowned Community Champion 2016
What a celebration was had at the Leicestershire Women in Business 2016 awards held at The City Rooms in Leicester! Smallman & Son sponsored the 2016 Community Champion Award, awarded to a very deserving Christina Wigmore at Soft Touch Arts, the award-winning Leicester charity that uses arts, media and music activities to engage and improve the lives of disadvantaged young people.
Christina has been at the heart of the Soft Touch team for 18 years and is currently Business and Strategic Director, responsible for strategic planning and company development. In this important role, she develops new programmes and areas of work and develops relationships and partnerships with both the public and private sector organisations and businesses.
Seeing Christina stepping up to accept the Community Champion Award was a very proud moment for us, since we’ve been so closely involved in Soft Touch Arts on the 2015 £1.1m building refurbishment and extension programme at 50 New Walk with rg+p.
We’re delighted to see Christina’s achievements and contribution recognised and especially so in 2016, Soft Touch’s special 30th Anniversary Year. Congratulations Christina!
