University of Leicester Security Lodge

The University of Leicester’s Estates Department’s role is to help the University enhance its Estate and improve its facilities for staff and students.

One of Smallman & Son’s recent projects on the University of Leicester Estate was refurbishing the Security Lodge.

The University of Leicester’s security department ensures there is a safe environment for staff, students and visitors on campus. Manned 24 hours a day, every day, the security team based at The Lodge also provides regular campus patrols as well as monitoring CCTV coverage of the entire site including the University Halls of Residence.

The scheme to refurbish the internal environment within the Security Lodge included an internal fit out and included adding two roof lights to increase the levels of natural daylight.

The project was delivered on time and on budget.
